Aurora Cabin

Our Aurora Cabin stands on a ridge overlooking Fish Lake and the surrounding valley. It is the perfect spot to unwind, with breath taking views and cozy, comfortable simplicity at it's best. A cozy bedroom loft gives privacy as well as an amazing view. Enjoy your morning coffee and write your postcards at the breakfast nook or on the front deck overlooking the lake, hike the ridge, wander down to the lake shore to talk with the local fishermen or try your hand at it! Spend your evenings in quiet seclusion, or with your friends and family. Enjoy an evening BBQ and if you're lucky you may even catch a glimpse of the mystical Aurora Borealis.

Our ranch and all its accommodations truly encompass the wilderness ranch lifestyle. Sky High Wilderness Ranch is “off the grid” - it is serviced by quaint outhouses, has limited cell service, no WiFi and water is hauled up from downtown. Our buildings are warmed by a wood stove, making for a cozy stay. We have gravity-fed showers and all of our lights and appliances are all powered by propane (no electricity).

Please note we are 30 minutes from the City and have no meal options at the ranch. Please bring your own groceries before heading up.

Nestled atop a hill overlooking Fish Lake, this cabin is situated in the perfect place to explore the Yukon wilderness. We're located approximately 25-30 minutes from downtown Whitehorse, in the Coastal Mountains of Southern Yukon - along the Fish Lake Rd at approx km 16. In the Winter we run exceptional dog sled tours and during Summer months the dogs get a rest and the horses can take you out to explore our beautiful area at Fish Lake. We also have an abundance of hiking trails, suitable for all ages and fitness levels, there's plenty to do during your stay! Our Ranch is located approx. 30 minutes drive from downtown Whitehorse on the Fish Lake Road.

Drive up Two Mile Hill to the Alaska Hwy and turn right. You will drive past the Fas Gas & Kopper King on the left and shortly after that two signs on the right; A blue one saying Sky High Wilderness Ranches, and the other Green one saying Fish Lake Rd. turn left onto Fish Lake road. Along the way you will see directional signs. We are at Km 16 and have a 30' sign by our driveway on the right hand side of the road. Do not turn off Fish Lake Road until you get to that sign.
